Check out Blooming Buttons!

Check out this Etsy shop...she makes some super cute hats and button bouquets. They are very unique and would be so cute in kid's rooms to add to their decor I think! Maybe one day when I have a house I can actually decorate!

Girly Accessories

I finally found some extra time to make Kamry and McKinlee (my sister's baby) more hair accessories. I'll admit it's been really fun to get into the girly things since having her. It took me a while at first to train myself to shop for pink and purple instead of red and blue, but now I love it! And I love accessories alot, but I have a hard time paying as much as stores want for them, so every now and then I get a wild hair to try and make something myself. Here is my latest attempt, and I think they turned out pretty cute. The picture doesn't do the bows justice though...they are so much cuter in person! It is hard to pick, but I think my favorite is the pink and brown one. I made it to match to a certain outfit and it turned out even cuter than I had hoped for.

Warm Weather & Haircuts

I don't know about all of you, but I am LOVING this warm weather! I can't wait to really be able to break out my flip-flops for good either! The kids and I have been on some fun walks since it has been so warm. We have a nice little path that follows a river close to our house too, so it is perfect to take the kids on. All the water is gone because it has been drained for some construction they are doing, but on our walk yesterday Nate was a little upset that all the water was gone and he asked me..."Mom, who drank all the water?" I couldn't help buy laugh!
I think I need a double stroller soon though....take a look for yourself!
Nate insists he ride in his stroller and Kamry can go with him.

I also gave Nate a haircut this week. I was going to take him somewhere, which I have never done, but decided against paying $10+ to have them buzz his hair like I usually do. I've been letting it grow for longer than usual to see if it would be any more manageable longer, but it wasn't! I swear it just wants to stick up in the back no matter what! I tried just cutting the top with scissors and buzzing the back and I like how it turned out better than buzzing it all over. Plus, less buzzed hair all over him!

Here is a before, and after, and of course the mess too. I have to let him play in the sink so he is entertained while I'm cutting his hair or he just cries the whole time because there is hair on him itching him. So, the spoon in the sink was his "tool" this time :)

So handsome! It looks so much better!

Craft it Forward

One of my friends is doing this on her blog and I thought it would be fun too, so I'll give it a try. The first three people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations: 1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! 2- What I create will be just for you. 3- It’ll be done this year. 4- You have no clue what it’s going to be. 5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. The catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who do the same on your blog. The first 3 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did, win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Anyone interested?

6 Months Old!

Our Sweet Little Princess turned 6 months old this week! She is such a sweet, happy baby and full of life already. She loves to watch every little thing Nate does and will surely be right on his heels the second she figures out how to move around! I can't get enough of her chubby cheeks either! They are so kissable! Here are a few of my favorite, more recent pictures of her.
My Grandma crocheted this cute little dress for her.

Nate pulls her around in the laundry basket and she loves it.

She found her feet and can't get enough of them!

Rice cereal....yummy!

Life is good when you can finally sit-up on your own!

HaPpY BiRtHdAy NaTe!

Our baby boy turned 3 this week! I can't believe we have a three-year-old already!

We had a fun little birthday party for him with family and of course he wanted dinosaurs for the theme. (When I say theme, I just mean we got dino plates and napkins and made cupcakes with dinosaurs on them).

Roar!!

Make a wish...

Mmmm....frosted dinosaur feet!

He was spoiled with lots of dinosaur gifts, jammies, a new blanket and a basketball hoop. He loves them all! Thanks everyone for making his day special! He loved every minute of the spotlight on his day! He is such a sweet boy and so much fun!
We love you Nate Boy!

Dinosaur Lover in Heaven!

Nate has been anxiously waiting to see Walking With Dinosaurs for weeks now and yesterday was the much anticipated day! I got tickets for it over a month ago, but a couple weeks ago, a full page ad for the show came in the mail. Once Nate laid eyes on it, he grabbed it and started running around the house telling us about how he was going to go see "the green T-Rex"! Our tickets just so happened to come in the mail that same day, so I showed them to him and he was ecstatic! Every day since then he would wake up and say "Mom, what we gonna do today? Should we go see the Dinosaur show?!" It was so sad to have to tell him (so many times) we had to wait because "it wasn't today".
Here we are just before the show started. I couldn't get him to smile at all that day. He was just being a goof when I tried to get pictures of him or us.Here are a few pictures of the dinosaurs. Nate even helped me take a few, but I ended up buying a program/book because the pictures in it were much better. The lighting was pretty dark so it was hard to get a very good picture. It's an understatement to say the Nate LOVED the show! He was in heaven seeing all the dinosaurs in action! At one point in the show it was kindof quite and all of a sudden he yells out..."that T-Rex is green!" He was so excited he got to see the green T-Rex that was in the full page ad. I couldn't help but laugh out loud. I had so much fun taking him to the show. And it is so fun to hear him tell everyone about it. He gets so excited telling people that he can't spit it out fast enough! I love the sounds he makes when he mimics the dinosaurs too! What I cute boy we have! I'll try to post a video or two too.
